OSM Benevolent Fund Match Funding for Papyrus |
Whilst we may be in the summer recess for masonic meetings our key principles remain with us all of the year round, and in-line with our core value of supporting good causes Worthy Bro. Bob Williams a member of Warrington Conclave No 119 had the pleasure of representing the Supreme Ruler for the Province of West Lancashire: Right Worthy Bro. John Charles Bicknell, by visiting the head-quarters of Papyrus in Warrington to present a cheque for £250 which had been donated by the OSM Benevolent Fund as part of their “match funding” programme following a previous donation of £500 from the Province of West Lancashire Order of the Secret Monitor last October. |

“Match Funding” is an initiative that allows each Order of Secret Monitor Province & individual Conclaves who have made donations to local charities & deserving causes close to their hearts during the year to apply each year for ‘match funding’ donations up to a combined total of £1000 from the OSM Benevolent Fund. |

It is important to highlight that as a charity; Papyrus is dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional well-being in young people within the UK because:- |
“Suicide is the biggest killer of people under the age of 35 in the UK” |

Papyrus believes that through its many suicide prevention education and training packages; identified as SP-OT and SP-EAK which they successfully deliver each year, they are definitely creating suicide safer communities across the UK and more importantly making a difference to the lives of those at risk |
Each of these training courses costs around £250 per course to set-up and deliver so with our help through these donations they have been able to fund three more courses and continue to help provide opportunity, independence and wellbeing for those in the most need in our society. |
